Both of my grandfathers were pastors, and I grew-up in the front pew of the church. I accepted Christ at age 9, and after my parents divorced a year later, I rebelled against the church and God. I looked at religion as some social crutch, and God was just some fictitious character that people made up to feel better about life. After I became a father at age 16 and married and divorced by 21 with another child, I hit the bottom with no place to go. The church was there to pick me back up, and God was there to care for and heal my broken spirit. My mother called me one day and told me that she knew that if I would surrender my life completely to God that He would do incredible things through me. From that day, I have been committed to Christ. Today I am an ordained pastor and I have been serving in the church for the past 5 years as a worship pastor. I am using the vocal gifts and talents God has given me to glorify Him each and every week. I praise Him for not giving up on me and allowing me to serve Him.
