I grew up around a mother that loved God. She dragged me to church every time the doors were open. I was never taught what a true relationship with God was all about. Therefore, my mind set about the whole "church" thing was just a bunch as stuff I could not do. So the older I got the less interested I became. Without a strong foundation and house can not be built and be expected to stand through the storm. The same applies to our lives as Christians. If there is not a strong foundation in our knowledge of who we are in Christ then when the pressures of life come knockin' at our door we will buckle under that pressure. I did just that, until Nov. 1 2003 God laid it out very simple for me. "You need a strong foundation!" It all started with me surrendering my will, for His. It hasn't been an easy road, but it has been a road of freedom. Freedom for lust, anger, low self-esteem, and wrong relationships, the list goes on. Now, God has blessed me with a beautiful wife as of August 31, 2007. I am in the process of finishing up my first year at Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa, OK, and my wife and I are directors over a teen discipleship ministry called Virtue 4 Teens. We are part of seeing strong foundations being built in these teenagers? lives! haha! Who said God doesn't have a sense of humor?
