ChevelleDave's 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle

Raised in a Christian household , but mainly just went thru the motions. Got saved at around 12 , but looking back, I'm not sure of my " salvation " because I wasn't walking with God , only acting. Later as I got older ,I became the classic prodigal son. Drinking, drugs, sex, a total hellion ! I continued this lifestyle and was totally away from the Church and things of God. ( And wondered why my life seemed empty ) Then about 8-9 years ago , my wife and I started attending Calvary Chapel Melbourne. It was a step in the right direction , but I was still living with one foot in the world, and one foot in Church. I was going to Church on Sunday, but still doing my own thing the other 6 days ( still getting drunk with the boyz , etc.) It was not until about 2 years ago that the Holy Spirit put it on my heart that I was not doing what he told me, and was just basically "playing Church". I recommitted my life to Jesus, asked for forgiveness, & actually started following Jesus for real. I quit drinking altogether ( not a drop since 2007 ) , started going to Church 2-3 times a week , taking bible studies, reading my Bible daily, and even went on a mission trip. My life has never been better since I turned my life over to our savior ! I know God has even bigger plans for me to glorify him , & i'm still growing / learning / and becoming the Man God want's me to be .......
IT'S NOT ABOUT RELIGION , BUT A RELATIONSHIP !!!
